If pc gaming was the be all and end all none of us would have consoles. What the author must take into account is that the vast majority of console gamers started on pc's and then moved on.
Furthermore, upgrading a pc to take advantage of the latest games, at their holy grail of highest resolutions, will cost me at least half the price of a console and on an ongoing yearly basis.

COD hate is hoity-toity.
I think the vast majority of the hate for COD, on this site especially, began with Black Ops and the broken multi-player on the PS3.
That seemed to instigate the rabid frothing that COD sometimes incites.
